Colin Kaepernick Honored By ACLU In Beverly Hills

Colin Kaepernick was honored by the ACLU of Southern California. The group gave Kaepernick the Eason Monroe Courageous Advocate Award during the ACLU's annual Bill of Rights dinner in Beverly Hills.  Kaepernick told the crowd that everyone has an obligation to stand up for men and women who are being oppressed.

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback launched a protest movement last year when he decided to not stand up for the national anthem before games in response to what he said was an overwhelming number of African-American men being killed by police across the country.  Kaepernick has not been able to land a NFL gig since this season started, and some have speculated he's being black-balled from the league because of his activism.
