BELMONT PARK
Race 7 – (4) SIR BOND will be looking for his first win from 11 tries over the Belmont main track. The Rudy Rodriguez trainee was a clear second last time out and is dropped into another realistic spot. With Irad Ortiz aboard, he figures to get a comfortable trip just off the early speed. He appears to be rounding into form right now and will likely offer a hint of value in a wide open sprint. (6) ROCKFORD was claimed last time out by the red-hot Robertino Diodoro (25% off the claim) barn and could be sitting on a top effort. He showed speed before giving way late in a good effort over the course. He's been no worse than third in three of his last four starts. (1) WILL DID IT ran alright in return from a 3 1/2 month layoff. He'll also benefit from a fast early pace and could come on late. (3) YELLOW CHIPS has gone nearly a year between trips to the winners' circle. The drop in class and presence of leading rider will drive down potential betting value. Hasn't fared particularly well off layoffs in the past.
