The Thursday Show Prep

It's somewhat ironic that Aroldis Chapman was on the hill last night to end the dream of the Cleveland Indians.

After all, it was Chapman -- last year as a member of the Chicago Cubs -- who made life miserable in the 2016 World Series for the Indians, who nearly took home the trophy.

So here was Chapman, once again, striking out four batters in 2 innings of no-hit baseball to close out the Indians and move on to the American League Championship Series.

The Yankees will now face another monumental task, challenging the Houston Astros for the American League pennant.

2017 NLDS Game 4: Washington Nationals vs. Chicago Cubs

There will be a Game 5 in the National League Division Series tonight in Washington where the Nationals will host the visiting Cubs, the defending World Series champions.

Stephen Strasburg did in fact start last night for the Nationals, after it was determined whatever it was which ailed the pitcher wasn't bad enough to keep him in the bullpen in a potential elimination game.

Strasburg did not disappoint, surrendering only three hits and striking out a dozen Cubs batters while giving up no runs on the way to a 5-0 victory in the (rather appropriately named for last night) Windy City.

It'll be all hands on deck for both the Nationals and Cubs tonight, with the Los Angeles Dodgers waiting in the wings to compete with tonight's winner for the National League title.

New England Patriots vs. Carolina Panthers

If you can somehow manage to put away your inexplicable need for "boycotting" the NFL for one night, and if baseball playoffs just aren't your cup of tea, then may I recommend tonight's Thursday Night Football extravaganza between the 4-1 Philadelphia Eagles and the 4-1 Carolina Panthers.

Cam Newton is rounding into form at this time of the season, and it can be argued he's in as good a form now as a quarterback as he was a couple seasons ago during their Super Bowl run. He'll be tested tonight against a very good Eagles defense, who will be sure to try and contain Newton's ability to scramble and make plays outside the pocket. The Philadelphia defense ranks second in the league (behind only Denver) for fewest rushing yards allowed per game.

For the Eagles offensively, it will be interesting to see what quarterback Carson Wentz will be able to do tonight. Wentz is tied for third in the league with fewest interceptions this season, but he's also been sacked 13 times which could spell trouble for the team's offensive line, which will be without tackle Lane Johnson (concussion).

You can hear the game tonight on FOX AM1340/93.9FM, with pregame coverage from Westwood One Sports beginning at 6 p.m.

On the left is Kijuana Nige. She's a 33-year-old "model" based primarily out of Las Vegas.

On the right is Chris Foerster. He's a cocaine addict who is now out of a job. Earlier this week, Foerster had served as on offensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins.

Reportedly, Foerster sent Nige a video which showed him snorting a "white, powdery substance" while also making sexually suggestive comments towards Nige. She, in turn, posted the video online....

And just like that, the shenanigans were on...

Back to the image above. You'll notice there's some space between the two photos. Somewhere, in that thin line between the two photos, is our ever-diminishing and more radically blurred dimension of sound judgment and rational thought.

We (sports talk people) actually gave this woman air time on national radio.

We gave her credibility and added her voice to the already inflamed and passionately dangerous discourse on the issue of anthem protesters.

First things first, of course we're gonna play the audio from her appearance on radio. We sold out a long time ago on any notion we were in it purely for the integrity.

Secondly, and most important, I do want to extend my gratitude to Kijuana for finally allowing the stripper/model/hooker/call girl and escort industry for providing the rest of society an articulate voice on the very thorny topic of NFL protests.

Because we were aching to hear -- not only from the man-child POTUS and the headline-obsessive owner of the Dallas Cowboys -- about these important issues which appear to be dividing fans along the NFL community. But we needed the voice of the common people, we needed to make sure their message was being included in the toxicity of all this.

According to an article in the New York Post, Nige is originally from Kansas City, Mo., and was “nationally ranked in sports,” according to ModelMayhem.com, which connects models with photographers.

She enjoys acting, singing, modeling, and being active, the site says. “[I] travel around the nation constantly. Contact me if you are need of an above average model today,” her profile reads.

In comments posted on Facebook in defense of her decision to post the Foerster video online, Nige wrote, “So quick to make excuses for him but will roast a minority player over an athem [sic], dog fight, weed, domestic issues etc. But y’all keep saying ALL LIVES MATTER STFU!!”

Ah yes, Thoreau would have been so proud.

Got a really good show coming up this morning.

Ryan Edwards covers the Denver Broncos. We'll have a preview of this Sunday night's game against the New York Giants.

Chuck Hayes and I will chat up college football and much more.

Travis Hughes and I will discuss the opening week of the NHL season.

FIRST SPORTS is heard every weekday morning at 9am ET across the country on the I Heart Radio app and locally on the dial at AM1340/93.9FM.

You're welcome, America.
