Dear Steve,
I’m a college student. I heard about this part of your show for awhile now, and I’m hesitant to actually speak to you on sports because I think you’ll yell at me. I’m a Raiders fan, so maybe it’s necessary. But I’m writing because of my parents, they fight all the time. My mother recently moved out (for the second time in a couple years) and I don’t know if she’s going to come back, or if I really want her to come back.
They fight all the time and it wrecks me because I care about them both, but I get confused as to which side I’m supposed to choose. They both work and they both are trying their best, with me and my little sister. My sister says it’s because they are different zodiac signs, but I don’t think that’s it. I think they’re just really miserable people when they’re together.
They've tried counseling and they've both been married before. They're not abusive, but it gets loud from time to time and I worry about my sister because she's not taking it well at all.
My dad asked me what I think they should do, but is that even my choice to make? I don’t want to be responsible for breaking them up or keeping them together if all they’re going to do is make things worse for everyone.
Anyway, I hope you’ll answer my letter.
