Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his teammate Eric Reid, have reached a settlement with the NFL over their collusion lawsuit and will take no further action in the case. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
Some questions to consider...
(1) Why is the settlement undisclosed? Who benefits the most from keeping the details sealed up inside an envelope?
(2) Regardless the outcome, will anyone's perception of Kaepernick be changed? Or the NFL's image... has that been damaged as well?
(3) What will the NFL do to address situations like this from occurring again? As much as the league feels they may have finally moved on from this, how will they ensure themselves to avoid this type of issue from disrupting their business?
We'll try and answer these questions on the Tuesday monologue. Click the link for my thoughts....
