I can only imagine what it was like being inside the Utah Jazz home arena Thursday night, being lectured by team owner Gail Miller just days after an incident involving a rogue fan being disrespectful to Russell Westbrook. Miller reminded those in attendance that Salt Lake City, where 75 percent of the population is Caucasian, is not a racist town. Maybe not diverse, but definitely not racist.
Transparency, as it turns out, is a wonderful thing. It allows us to gain some perspective on “how we got here” for lack of a better term.
