You can expect there will be a lot on the table when the NFL and the players union sit down at some point to avoid a potential work stoppage at the end of the 2020 season. Some executives are talking about an expanded playoff format or an 18-game regular season. The pesky marijuana issue is up for debate as well. It’s very likely there will be some flexibility on some causes in exchange for others. Former NFL standout Chris Long is helping bring more attention to this detail and how it could be a deal maker between the two sides.
