The Chiefs won the coin toss and deferred to the 2nd half.

Bo Nix and the Broncos offense started with the ball at their own 35 after the touchback. Bo was sacked on the first play but on 3rd and long, Nix hit Pat Bryant for a huge first down to move the sticks. A couple plays later, Nix hit Sutton for a 21 yard gain on 3rd and 11. The offense worked efficiently all the way down to the KC 5 but Bo Nix was sacked by Chris Jones on 3rd down and the Broncos were forced to settle for a 29 yard field goal. Broncos take an early lead 3-0 after a 14 play 7:36 drive.

After a quick first down to Rashee Rice, Mahomes next three passes were all deep attempts and fell incomplete. Chiefs punted it to Marvin Mims and returned it 70 yards down to the 11 yard line! Unfortunately, the Broncos offense wasn't able to capitalize and settled for a 24 yard chip shot field goal, extending the lead 6-0 with 4:53 remaining in the 1st quarter.

The Chiefs started their next drive at their 20 yard line and were quickly to midfield with a short pass to Xavier Worthy and a couple of handoffs to Kareem Hunt. An illegal hands penalty backed up the Chiefs before Mahomes targeted Worthy deep down the right sideline and the ref from the other side of the field somehow saw pass interference on Riley Moss and called a 40 yard DPI, setting KC up the DEN 13 yard line. JuJu Smith Schuster was called for holding backing the Chiefs up and then got ANOTHER holding call on 3rd down before Kansas City settled for a 31 yard field goal, cutting into the lead 6-3.

Broncos started their next drive from their 40 yard line and a controversial play on 2nd down where Jaleel McLaughlin seemed to break a tackle for a big gain but instead was ruled a 5 yard loss. Facing a 3rd and 16, Nix hit a short pass to Evan Engram but Denver was forced to punt.

KC started their next drive at their own 11 yard line and quickly got a 1st down after a handoff to Hunt and short pass to backup TE. Facing a 3rd and 2, Mahomes hit Worthy on a short pass that he took up the left sideline for 11 yards. Chiefs worked into Denver territory and then down to the 35 yard line on a completion to Rashee Rice. Facing a 3rd and 4 from the Denver 30, Mahomes hit Kelce for a pitch and catch 1st down. Facing another 3 and short, the Broncos defense forced a Mahomes throw away (Que Robinson drew a holding call that wasn't called). Butker converted a 31 yard field goal and the game was tie 6-6. 16 plays 77 yards 9:32 off the clock.

Bo Nix hit Pat Bryant on 1st down for 15 yards to kickoff the drive. On 3rd and 8, Nix pass attempt to Troy Franklin fell incomplete...Franklin dropped it. Broncos forced to punt and KC would start their next drive from their own 10 yard line with 3:04 remaining in the 1st half.

Facing a 3rd and 1 at their own 19 after the 2 minute warning, Mahomes was sacked by Que Robinson and DJ Jones to force a 3 and out and punt! Broncos offense took over at their 27 yard line with 1:46 remaining in the 1st half.

Bo Nix took off for an 8 yard gain but on 3rd and 2, Nix came up short by a foot. Broncos go 3 and out and punt it back to KC who would take over at their own 24 yard line with 27 seconds remaining. Hollywood Brown got a quick first down to the Chiefs 37 yard line.

Chiefs started their first drive in the 2nd half at their 33 yard line. On 3rd down, a ticky tack illegal contact penalty against Riley Moss negated a pick 6 by Jahdae Barron but a few plays later, as Mahomes and the Chiefs worked into Denver territory, Patrick targeted a receiver in the end zone and Ja'Quan McMillian picked him off! He returned it into KC territory but an illegal block in the back penalty would bring the ball back into Denver territory and the Broncos would start their next drive at their own 11 yard line.

Broncos offense got an initial first down on a quick pass to Franklin and then a handoff to RJ Harvey. Facing a 3rd and 8, Bo Nix threw an ABSOLUTE DIME down the left sideline and hit Troy Franklin in stride for a 35 yard gain! The Broncos converted another 3rd and 2 for 11 yards to Harvey to get inside the 10 yard line and a couple plays later, Jaleel McLaughlin was pushed into the end zone for a touchdown! Broncos get the lead back 13-6 with 4:03 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

Chiefs were facing a 3rd and 7 and Mahomes threw a deep pass to Tyquan Thornton for 61 yards. A couple plays later, Kareem Hunt punched it in for a 2 yard touchdown to tie the game at 13.

Broncos offense went back to work from their own 20 yard line, Nix hit a wide open Pat Bryant on a corner route for a 48 yard gain! Bryant was shaken up on the play. As we wound down the 3rd quarter, the Broncos had worked the ball to the KC 23 yard line. They work it down to the 20 yard line but the drive stalled and Wil Lutz converted a 38 yard field goal to get back in front 16-13 with 12:50 remaining in the game.

Hunt gained a first down on the first play of the drive, a 10 yard gain to the 38 yard line. On 3rd and 19 after back to back penalties, Mahomes launched a pass into Riley Moss' direction and he was called for a 46 yard DPI. A few plays later, Vance Joseph sent the house at Mahomes and he found Travis Kelce on a shallow crosser and he broke a tackle by Hufanga and took it in from 21 yards out for a KC touchdown. The extra point was blocked and so the Chiefs lead would be 19-16 with 9:57 remaining in the game.

Starting from their own 26 yard line, Bo Nix was called for intentional grounding on 2nd and 6. On 3rd and 16, Nix found Prentice for 14 and it appeared the Broncos might go for it but McGlinchey false started and the Broncos were forced to punt. Chiefs started their next drive inside their 12 yard line.

The Broncos defense got a MASSIVE stop on 3rd and 3 as Mahomes pass fell incomplete. JL Skinner nearly blocked the punt but Marvin Mims was able to return it to the Denver 45 where the Broncos would be set up with 6:30 remaining in the game.

The offense got an initial first down after a quick pass to Trautman for 8 and then a 7 yard run by Harvey as they worked into KC territory. The drive would stall though and Wil Lutz would be brought on to convert a 54 yard field goal to tie the game at 19!

KC would take over at their 26 yard line and on 3rd and 9, Ja'Quan McMillian came up with a HUGE sack and forced KC to punt. Broncos would take over at their own 26 yard line. On 3rd and 15, after a Palcho holding call, Bo Nix found Courtland Sutton over the middle for 20 yards! Sutton would get another first down to the KC 49 yard line as we ticked down to 1 minute to play. Bo Nix hit Troy Franklin for a 32 yard reception and after a kneel down to run clock, Wil Lutz converted the game winning field goal to win 22-19!!! Broncos improve to 9-2!

Our next broadcast will be on Sunday, November 30th as the Broncos will travel to Washington to play the Commanders. Coverage starts at 9am, kickoff at 6:15.
