There's no reminders necessary. I'm fully aware there were three games on Sunday to celebrate "Opening Day".
But that's not Opening Day.
This is Opening Day.
Whatever cap you choose to wear, whichever team you follow, however long the odds are of that team capturing a pennant, optimism abounds around the country for your favorite baseball team.
That is until the first blown save by that team's bullpen.
The first passed ball which costs your team a victory.
The first time your second baseman misses a routine grounder.
The first time your shortstop sails a throw to first into the bleachers.
The first bases-loaded, 2 down, bottom of the ninth strikeout squashes a late rally.
The season is long.
It's not for the faint of heart.
But optimism abounds.
So root, root, root for the home team. Chances are if they don't win, it's the same shame it's always been.
It's Time For Dodger Baseball.
