Reaction to the Zion Williamson injury has been loud and often times, resulting in misplaced anger. Yes, a shoe broke and the young man is lucky the damage is recoverable. But this isn’t about Nike and it’s not about Duke or a flawed NCAA system. This is about an antiquated system which suggests players shouldn’t explore the NBA out of high school. The association can and should end this practice now.
